Schoolly D Performing for Occupy Philly at City Hall Oct. 29

Local hip hop legend and O.G., Schoolly D, will be at ground zero of Occupy Philly this afternoon for “a special message-driven musical performance.” He’ll be joined by “raptivist” Michael “O.G.-Law” Tabon, his wife Gwen “Phila-Diva” Tabon (who is best known for her vocals on Dr. Dre’s “Keep Their Heads Ringing”), and their 4-year-old son known as “lower case g.law.” The event is being presented by N.A. Poe’s “The Panic Hour” radio show and Occupy Philadelphia Media. Their objective is to showcase “the voice hip hop provides to a community often underrepresented or also now known as…‘the 99%’” by “featuring representation of the past, present, and future of the hip hop counter culture.” So fans of hip hop – grab your rain gear and head down to City Hall to show your support!
