Though halcyon Indy Hip Hop label Def Jux has passed on into the ether, their vibe resonates strongly in this release. Collaborations with L.A.-based Cassettes Won’t Listen and upstate NY Slobber-slanger Dezmatic are highlights to please your discerning ears, and the beats are crunchy and throbbing in the best possible ways.
