Black Sandwich released a new LP, Arrogant Alien, earlier this month. This is the wild rock sounds of Meo Beenaux (Vocal), John Briggs (Guitar), Luke Blanco (Bass), and Charlie Watt (Drums). We say wild because this collection of 16 songs contain some of the more difficult to define, but utterly enjoyable songs we have heard in awhile.
Yarrow
Yarrow released a new album via Manic Static earlier this month called “Cluster". This is the ethereal ambient music mixed with dreamy bedroom folk, and field recordings of Devin Shaffer. “Cluster" is her third full-length release and perhaps her most fully realized.

Ratboys “GL” in 8-Bit
Ratboys have released a very fun 8-bit version of the 2018 EP, GL, via Topself Records. Ratboys is primarily the work of Julia Steiner (vox/lyrics, guitar) and Dave Sagan (guitar), but Dave did all of the work in creating these amazing remixes.
Back in July the band released a video for the original version of “Figure” which was direct and animated by Bayley White of Low-Moon Productions.
Ratboys will be performing a sold out show on September 30th at Lincoln Hall with Foxing and Kississippi.
Dog Mom “Savor”
Dog Mom has released a new single called ”Savor” via Seminary Records. This is bedroom pop of 19 year old Kim Locke.

Blue Dream @ Reggie’s (10/6)
Heavy Psych band Blue Dream released their latest LP, Volume Blue, last week. This is the band’s sophomore album, and second LP of 2018. This is the work of Justin Sanetra (Vocals, Guitar), Jimmy Russell (Vocals, Bass), Danny Awisha (Vox & Drums), and Cook (Guitar).

J Fernandez “Occasional Din”
J Fernandez is preparing to release his next album, Occasional Din, via Joyful Noise on November 9th. This is the long awaited follow-up to 2015’s Many Levels of Laughter. The album’s first single is called “Unwind”, and it can be streamed below.

A Veiled Frame In Amber
A Veiled Frame In Amber is the work of Nathan Kwon, and today, Sept. 24th, he released an achingly beautiful collection ambient-tinged Neo-classical compositions called “Yet Another Season Graced Our Doorsteps”.
Logos is also the founder of the album’s label, Logos Borne, which has released a ton of great music over the last three years. He also records until names Crawl Across The Sky, Ashen Swan, Copernican, Lavender, and Haeun.
Paul Moody “Hate Being Alone”
Paul Moody and the Revelators are preparing to release an new EP, “Hate Being Alone”, on October 5th.

Typesetter “Nothing Blues”
Typesetter is preparing to release their latest album, Nothing Blues, via 6131 Records on October 26th. This is the band’s sophomore album and first full-length since 2014’s Wild End, and since added the talent Sarah Bogosh on keyboards, Bass, and backing vocals.
The album’s opening track and lead single is “Monogamy I (Gliss Happening)”, and it can be streamed below. Typesetter will be performing a DJ Set at The Native (2417 N. Milwaukee) on October 18th.
Sonny Falls “Towards No One”
Sonny Falls has released an Emulsion directed video for their latest single “Towards No One”. The track is taken from their recently released LP, Some Kind of Spectre (Sooper Records).

Monobody “Former Islands”
Monobody recently announced that they will be releasing their sophomore album, Raytracing, on November 1st via Sooper Records. This is the experimental instrumental post rock of Al Costis (Bass, Vibraphone, Lap Steel), Collin Clauson (Keyboards), Conor Mackey (Guitar, Keyboards, Vibraphone, Programming), Nnamdi Ogbonnaya (Drums, Percussion), and Steve Marek (Bass).

Brandon James “There She Goes”
Soul Singer Brandon James has released a new single called “There She Goes”. The song is positive and uplifting, and his smile addictive and endearing. The single is taken from his 2017 collection of songs called The Divine Collection.
