Aadi Rip released his latest album, Shelter Belt, earlier this month. This is the soulful electronic pop in the vein of How To Dress Well and Active Child.

Rip is a part of the Still Love Sounds label and appeared several times on their first compilation, “Still Love Romance Tape Vol. 1” earlier this year.

Blush Scars has released a new self-titled EP, their first as a full band and first since 2016. This is the Post-Punk noise of Sean McCormick, Lindsey Sherman, Mason Vaughn Hammond, Drea Gonzalez, and Asa Von Hagen.

Earlier this year there was a great live video released of them performing “Once” at The Bowling Alley and clearly having a great time together.

The Inventors have released the lead single, “Beautiful”, from their forthcoming self-titled album. This is the rock sounds of Joe Mango (Vocals/Guitar), Ray Skamay (Guitar/Vocals), Nick Kieta (Bass/Vocals), and Tommy Mendoza (Drums).

Sleepwalk has released the first single, “Bumblebee”, from their forthcoming sophomore album, Splatter, with is due out on November 28th via Emma’s House Records.

This is the modern shoegaze sounds of Ryan Davis (Guitar, vox), Mike Kennedy (Guitar), Dave Jedlecki (Bass), and Steve Burton (Drums).

Vapor Eyes has released a new collection of beats called “Smooth FM”. As the title suggests, this album is centered around the sounds and styles of smooth jazz, but in the best possible way.

Vapor Eyes is the work of David Cohen and you can catch him in action on November 24th at Schubas with Guggenz.

Minor Moon has released a new single called “Hold Me Up (Liar)”. This is the Sam Cantor fronted band’s third single of 2018 following-up “It’s Okay” and “Sacrificial Animal”.

Closed Sessions label mates Anaji Jones and BoatHouse have released the first single, “Futurama”, from their forthcoming EP. This track is energetic and grimey, and a great sign for what’s to come on the EP.

The trio of Charlie Wynne, Loc Tran and Scott Hartge known as Close Kept released their latest album, Better Yet, last week via Flesh and Bone. The album, their first since 2016 and first as a trio, is collection of tracks recorded over the last three years.

The album’s lead single is also the title track, “Better Yet”, but out favorite track remains the earnest and meditative song they performed last year for Sofar Chicago, “Basement Steps”.

The Gothic duo of William Faith and Sarah Rose Faith, also known as The Bellwether Syndicate, recently released a new single called “Republik” via Sett Records. This is their first single of 2018 and the follow-up to their 2017 debut EP “The Night Watch”.

Ness Heads has released the Exhbit 91 directed video for her most recent single, “Pretty”. The track has an addictive beat created by Chicago Native, LA-Based produce Vince Nantes.

Ness Heads is the heavy hitting Hip Hop persona of Vanessa Ortiz, and “Pretty” is her third and potentially breakthrough single. The lyrics may come across as verbose, but we actually see them as empowering as this track was written in response to unkind words thrown her way by an acquaintance.

femdot. has released a beautifully scenic black and white video for his track “Snow In July”. The track is taken from his recent LP Delacreme 2 (Closed Sessions), and features production from CRL CRRL and vocals from Johari Noelle.
