OK sometimes you just gotta get it out there and this is one of those times cuz we’re operating under an actual deadline and you’ve got through tomorrow (or the remainder of oday if you’re reading this on 3/1/24) to get your application in for Anti-Social Camp which is billed as the largest songwriting camp in the world—taking place this year the week of June 10th–and who are we to argue the point so if you’re a performer, producer, or songwriter who works in musical words where these are standard divisions of labor (e.g., pop music, electronic music, hip hop, jazz, et al. though one can always take on more than one role of course) then you’d be a prime candidate to apply…
…cuz let’s say you’re a producer at the camp that means that you’ll be paired with a round-robin of songwriters and performers over the course of the week and given a finite amount of time to write songs together and and to record demos too (maybe even on the DAW you bring yourself) that’s yours to treasure and to potentially share and we’d guess one would connect with some cool potential future collaborators/compatriots through doing this plus it just sounds like a fun exercise that could produce some potentially good work forged from the rush of adrenaline a deadline provides plus the first-time collaborator energy and there’s an Anti-Social comp coming out soon of songs recorded at the 2023 camp so you can judge for yourself…
…and all you have to do is apply as either an artist, a songwriter, or a producer is share some basic information like social media links and a description of your music and the legal rights to your first-born which of course we’re just kidding about that last part but still it’s good to be cautious cuz everyone knows that musicians are by profession most prone to selling their soul to the devil but Anti-Social Camp is free (!) so we think you’re safe there and and here’s the official description of the event…

Anti Social Camp is an opportunity to rethink the concept of a songwriting camp, which is typically a gathering of recording artists, songwriters and producers grouped together with the goal of creating new songs and recordings in a short burst of time. Songwriting camps are usually private, exclusive affairs planned by major labels in global destinations, whether it’s a mansion in Bali or a castle in the South of France.
In contrast, Anti Social Camp is the largest songwriting camp in the world as well as a front-facing festival. It’s like a SXSW for Songwriters, with 100+ recording sessions during the day and a packed calendar of concerts, gatherings and panels each night.
