When it comes to DIY events in Philly, few (if any) can compare to Pilam’s Human BBQ. Whether it’s catching killer bands like Screaming Females before the rest of the world has caught on to them, having The Dead Milkmen pop up to perform an unannounced set, or dashing down its back steps from the roof to escape a raid by the authorities, it’s always an experience to remember. This Saturday starting at noon, the grill will be all fired up, and the amps will be cranked for 21 acts that will include local talent like Slow Animal, DRGN King, Ghost Gum, Mischief Brew, Kississippi, and much, much more.
