Philly Year End Poll 2012 – Readers and Fans’ Poll is on!

We’re very excited to be back with our Year End Poll 2012 for Best Philly Emerging Artists!

We just uploaded the full list of nominees. It’s in the right column on this page and also HERE. Some of the acts in the list were selected through our Open Submissions process that we announced last week and others were picked by our fine jury of local industry folks/music lovers (listed below), who could freely choose 3 artists in the order of their preference. Special thanks to them for sharing! [BTW: If you were wondering why some more well-known names are missing from the list, that’s probably because we didn’t include major label artists (they already have a staff helping to push their music careers forward), and we wanted to try and keep the list to acts that just might need the exposure more. We also didn’t include past Year End Poll Winners because you should know how much they rock by now!] Points have already been assigned to each artist according to how well they did in the selection process. Now, the readers’ and fans’ votes will also influence the final chart. As you may have seen in the past, each vote will count so cast yours now!
