W.C. Lindsay, the electro-punk project by William Charles Lindsay, has released their new album, Easy Victim, Charitable Deceptions on Big Footprints Records today. The label, started by Modern Baseball’s Brendan Lukens, has released a series of splits, but now they are handling W.C. Lindsay’s new full-length release. The album is fraught with doubt and full of questions, but the catchy melodies, and Lindsay’s emotive croon make the album an easy, and enjoyable listen. Stream the whole thing below.

Young Savage’s latest effort “Move That Dope” (Freestyle ) balances a thick trudging pace-setting beat with torrential turns of phrase that may need a few laps before catching ideal speed.

Space Drugs and The Deadeyes rock Kung Fu Necktie April 12th
The season of new continues onward in full effect for Space Drugs at Kung Fu Necktie tonight. After hibernating during the winter; the experimental garage punk outfit welcomed a new bassist to the fold, worked on plenty of new songs, and have their next album lined up to be released over the summer. Tonight’s show will be a good opportunity to preview all of the above. The Deadeyes (ex-Grubstake) will be following along with the theme as maestros of elegant punk with violin. Word is they have been recording new tracks in the studio of late. And Baker Man will also likely be previewing tracks from their upcoming debut EP. Filling out the lineup will be Maryland’s Alarms + Controls. Kung Fu Necktie, 1250 N. Front St, 8PM, $5 All Ages – Bill McThrill
Tender Vision and The Fantastic Imagination hit The Pharmacy April 12th
Tonight get ready for a long night of live music at The Pharmacy, Philly’s freshest coffee shop west of the Broad Street line. Headlining the night is Tender Vision, the indie poppers with a flair for the vaguely sad. Kings of the DIY circuit with a new album on the way, ex-Catnaps frontwoman Adrianne Gold and bassist William Sallee miss the Pixies just as much as the next guy, but you didn’t write a song about it. Starting the evening off is the six-member folk band, The Fantastic Imagination. Self-described as “psychedelic fantasy,” the band hones in on precise acoustic riffs and piles on edgy distortion and vocal harmonies for a romantic and almost medieval effect. Next up is the shoegazey husband and wife duo Overly Polite Tornadoes from Kalamazoo, and another husband and wife project from New York, Trifles. The Pharmacy, 1300/02 S. 18th St.,8pm, $5-7 –Maggie Grabmeier
Weekend Warrior, April 11-13
Tonight might be the biggest show in Modern Baseball’s short and exciting existence. The band, which began as collaboration between insert names two young songwriters, has flourished, in just a couple years becoming one of the most talked about bands around. The quartet recently released their second album You’re Gunna Miss It All, on Run For Cover Records. The album firmly places itself in the present with references to Instagram and Iphones, but feels timeless in the way it captures the wandering, borderless years of twenty-somethings. The sound can be placed somewhere between the quirk-rock of They Might Be Giants, and the earnest folk-punk of The Front Bottoms, but the inability to firmly position them in a genre is a large part of their appeal. Their run of success landed them on a tour with The Wonder Years, who are rolling into a SOLD OUT Electric Factory. They probably could have sold out two nights, so this place is sure to be packed to the brim.
Great Indoors (Please contact one of the acts or venue for more info.) FRI The Ambulars, Jason Anderson, Thin Lips
New Track: “I’m Already There” – Lux Perpetua

Carved Up Take Over Upstairs of KungFu Necktie April 10th
Be forewarned that the Guild is presenting a show upstairs at KungFu Necktie this evening. The trio of Carved Up doesn’t veil their intention; rather, they tear down the gates with a full-bore sonic assault. However, don’t mistake the group’s unrelenting style for an off the cuff invasion. There is a distinct measured approach; an ebb and flow. Breathe-catching moments have a calm before the storm feel, setting the stage for yet another all-out barrage. Opening the night, Wives bring an inherently raunchy yet appealing punk rock sound. Sandwiched between the local acts is Chicago post-punk trio Yeesh and Boston rockers Lady Bones.
