You can check out the title track from the group’s forthcoming record below, and catch it live this weekend when Cruisr performs at the Made in America Festival.

Free Download: “Summer” – Marc Neibauer
With Labor Day on the horizon, we found a new single from Marc Neibauer in our inbox this morning. "As the season comes to an end, ‘Summer’ is my look back. Perhaps my most relatable and accessible song to date, ‘Summer’ is about the need for adventure out and the fear of being left behind." You can stream and download the track for free below.
New Track: “Here On My Street” – Dark Blue
Below is the second single, "Here On My Street," off Dark Blue‘s forthcoming album Pure Reality. The record is scheduled for release on October 7 via Jade Tree. Pure Reality began when bandleader John Sharkey III was working as a nightwatchman on a desolate university campus in Canberra, Australia. "A good portion of these songs were written in this walking coma at 4 am under the cold ACT moon. Alone and to be quite honest, comfortably beleaguered." The album was eventually recorded and produced by Jeff Zeigler (The War on Drugs, Kurt Vile, Nothing, etc.).

Myrrias Opening for Dead Gaze at The Boot & Saddle Aug. 23
The ladies of Myrrias have been steadily building noise ever since their live debut at Ortlieb’s at the tail end of 2013. Each of their members are part of well-respected Philly acts like Arc In Round, Lantern, Downtown Club, and Break It Up, so they’re no strangers to the local music scene. The four-piece is currently working on new material with Uniform Recording’s Jeff Zeigler. They’ll be making their Boot & Saddle debut tonight opening for North Mississippi’s Dead Gaze, and will be joined by garage-rock outfit Sheer Mag, who are getting ready to release their debut 7” next month. Half of Myrrias (Mikele Edwards and April Harkanson) just celebrated their birthdays last week so wish them well and buy them plenty of drinks! The Boot & Saddle, 1131 S. Broad St., 6pm, $10, 21+ – Bill McThrill

Field Mouse Warm-up at Bourbon & Branch Aug. 22
Philadelphia/Brooklyn four-piece Field Mouse roll into Bourbon & Branch for a pre-tour show tonight with Heavy Lights. And it’s sure to be good warm-up for the band, who is still riding high from the release of their debut full-length Hold Still Life (Tope Shelf Records), which has recently climbed up to the 12th spot on the latest CMJ Music Poll. It was co-produced by band members Andrew Futral and Rachel Browne, and channels fond memories of Juliana Hatfield with a shoegaze element. So tonight will be a good time to familiarize yourself with the group before they play the Barbary on September 19th as part of the Topshelf Records tour. Bourbon & Branch, 705 N. 2nd St., 8pm, $10, 21+ – Bill McThrill
New Video: “Made in Philadelphia” (Noisey) – Various Artists
It does our hearts good seeing/hearing some of our favorite music folks talk about their real experiences in and real love for Philly. As part of Budweiser and Noisey‘s Made in America video series, you’ll find chats with Santigold, Schoolly D, rjd2, Spank Rock, Amanda Blank, Noah Breakfast (ex-Chiddy Bang), Tom Lax (Philadelphia Record Exchange/Siltbreeze Records), Eric Bresler (PhilaMOCA), and DJ Diamond Kuts. It’s pretty rad, especially since Budweiser stopped trying to put in so many product promotion shots – check it out below!
