Beach Slang released the first in their series of mixtapes, entitled Here, I Made This For You, last week, and tomorrow, their full-length label debut, The Things We Do to Find People Like Us, comes out via Polyvinyl Records. After signing to Fool’s Gold Records in 2012, it finally looks like GrandeMarshall‘s full-length label album My Brother’s Keeper will see the light of day. He’s been teasing us with tracks for a while now. Below is his latest single, "Never Change," from the forthcoming LP, which is scheduled for release on November 20.

Before the mood-shifting cold gains a formidable grip on our daily activities, Palmas enters the cozy climate of Underground Arts’s Black Box. Rumbling backend develops a tension, as spiraling surf guitar sparks a blaze, the ghostly echo of keys vibrates in the distance, and melodic vocals lead the search. Conversely, the band can ease off the reins, allowing the calming natural rhythm of the current dictate a soothing nostalgic serenade or a breezy harmony-laced rocker. Tonight, they will be joined by the twisted psych-pop/rock sense of calm rolled out by the duo of Swimm. Enchanting songstress Madalean Gauze has delivered with her simply and aptly titled album Sing. These songs run the gambit as supremely confident siren-inspired vocals charging through jarring areas of distress and clarity. Madalean Gauze will be celebrating Sing with a record release show on Thursday, December 17 at Boot & Saddle with at Rosali and Woven In.

Math-y indie rockers Edelweiss are getting set to release their new EP Philadelphia on November 13 via Mad Dragon Records. They’ll be celebrating its release at Creep Records along with Blood Sound, Mike Pays Heat, and Life Size Maps. You can now stream and purchase their previous EPs (below), which they combined together into one album (Pre Columbians/Honduras) and added remixes for their tracks as well.

Tonight’s sold-out bill at Kung Fu Necktie promises us an out-of-body experience. Leading things off will be the bewitching trio of Heavy Temple. Born "from the far points of the universe," the homegrown outfit combines ominous string tones with mystical, Sherpa-guiding vocals and stormy drums to make believers out of us all. San Francisco stoner metal three-piece Acid King will be on tour for the first time in nine years, so obviously this is a momentous occasion. They plan to release a new album, Middle of Nowhere, Center of Everywhere, in April. Also along for the sojourn is NYC’s Kings Destroy. Kung Fu Necktie, 1250 N. Philly emcee King Shampz has started his own label, Dead Wong Records, with his brother and producer Azzan. Take a listen to their single "Beware of The Wrong," sounding like a metaphoric street anthem for how they plan to handle business. It hangs tough.

About this time last year, producer QQQ caught our attention with his creepy music video for "The Ebullient." Since then, he has continued to share seductive, mind-altering, psy-trance beats that show great promise for a young artist. QQQ will be headlining a chill Monday evening at The Fire, where he’ll be playing host to the shadowy dance-pop of Radclyffe Hall and Philly "maddest of good men" Kelpius, a.k.a. Dylan Thomas. Modern Baseball have plans for a new full-length album, titled Holy Ghost, to come out next year via Run For Cover Records. And until then, you now have their new six-song EP The Perfect Cast (Lame-O Records) to cozy up with this fall/winter. Songwriters Brendan Lukens and Jake Ewald were also nice enough to give you a break down of each track at Stereogum.

Capturing experience from a youth inspired, playful perspective, Laser Background dishes out a marshmallow pillow of airy psych-pop. With some new material on the docket, the Andy Molholt-led group puts a Willy Wonka spin on their songs. The shapes and atmosphere of the resulting cathartically twisted sound doesn’t play by standard rules. In this sonic space, imagination reigns supreme. Tonight, at Johnny Brenda’s, Laser Background lays the groundwork for the distinctively funky art-R&B of Brooklyn’s Ava Luna, whose jubilant tones are continuously in motion, while the vocally rich, soothing sounds of Teen headline.
