Drift ever so lovingly into the void with "Falling.", the latest single from Philly producer Instupendo, a.k.a. Aidan Peterson. "I hope it reminds you of the Autumn breeze," Peterson states. You can get lost in the soundscapes of Instupendo at PhilaMOCA on Saturday, December 10, where he’ll be joined on a bill that will also include Buji, Good Intent, and Haven.
Take a Listen to K A G’s Powerful & Compelling Debut EP
K A G is the solo project of Katie Alice Greer, the incisive frontwoman of D.C. post-punk outfit Priests. Her album, EP A, encompasses four tracks that are disposed to lo-fi aesthetics, sonically hovering around industrial and experimental dance tunes. Though the sound is a departure from Greer’s work with Priests, K A G is an exciting batch of material that feels as precarious as it is powerful and compelling. The EP is available in digital formats online and cassettes via Priests’ label Sister Polygon Records. – Josh Kelly
Options
Options is the solo project of recording engineer and musician Seth Engels. With it, he pushes the bedroom-pop aesthetic to its technical limits, successfully weaving together high-end songcraft with quality production that is often not found in the variety of genres in which his music lands upon. Constructed independently from the ground up, his newest release, Maxed Out, is now available via Sooper Records. Options will be starting his tour down to The Fest later this week in support of the new record.

New Shelf Life LP Available for Streaming & Purchase
Scott Leitch, a.k.a. Shelf Life, has released a new full-length album Spirit Bear. The collection of songs captures a pared-down, earnest vibe. However, while anchored in acoustic simplicity, the album ventures in different directions, establishing strong, melodic, pop-rock grooves that open up in an illuminating fashion; conversely, a shadier grunge element also becomes visible. It isolates, stripping down the exterior world, hitting the personal core, and then jutting out of the darkness.
New Track: “Weathersby” – Strange Parts
Musical compatriots Attia Taylor and Corey Duncan (Oh Pears!) combine forces as Strange Parts. Weathersby, the second single off their forthcoming album, sits in a cloudy limbo state, as forward-shifting drums, ringing guitar and stabilizing synth cushion Taylor’s drifting, peaceful vocals. The duo opens for Adia Victoria on Monday, October 17 at Johnny Brenda’s.
