New Breaklite EP Available for Streaming & Download
Weekend Sessions, the new EP from Breaklite, rips and rattles, knocking off that residual weekend rust. With a snarly tear, it shifts the pendulum with a lingering, loose, biting garage-grip. Shake off this Tuesday, and let these catchy shredders snap you out of the doldrums!
New Music Video: “I Want You” – Marian Hill
We could probably never pull off a choreographed dance, but we certainly apreciate when it’s done well. Marian Hill enlisted the help of some talented folks to film their music video for the single, "I Want You," at the YouTube Space NY. In one take to boot! Or should we say, "One time, one time, one time"? The performance was directed and choreographed by Ian Eastwood, and you can find "I Want You" on their full-length release, ACT ONE (Republic Records). (Photo by Pablo Amoretti)
New Track: “TAR” – Lunacy
"LUNACY is not Nick – Nicky – Nicholas – LUNACY is everyone, we are all LUNACY." Or maybe it is the new solo project from Nicky Kulp (Remote Control, ex-Far-Out Fangtooth/Creepoid). He has a four-song EP, Life We Choose to Follow, scheduled for release on November 25 via Funeral Party Records. You can take a listen to its eerie, lead single, "TAR," below.

New Music Video: “We Are Selfish” – The Ghost In You
Singer-songwriter Billy Polard, a.k.a. The Ghost In You, just shared a new music video for the track "We Are Selfish" (off his latest album Heaven Help Us), which he conceptualized and directed. It was also shot in the woods of Willow Grove, PA earlier this month, and edited by Bob Sweeney. The footage features appearances from Polard’s dad, stepmom, brother, cousin and her child. Inaugural National Park Feat. American Trappist, Madalean Gauze & More at Bourbon & Branch Oct. 22
National Park is a miniature festival curated by Painted Lady Records in which seven of Philly’s own emerging musicians will play a sampling of music that just might put them on the map. This conceptualized event brings together a diverse lineup of singer-songwriters and bands, who otherwise would not likely share a stage together, providing you with a taste of their music catalogue. The inaugural event will be co-headlined by the solo effort from River City Extension‘s Joe Michelini, American Trappist. Also sharing top billing for this evening will be the genre-bending songwriting of Madalean Gauze, who has made a name for herself locally since releasing her debut EP American War. The showcase will also feature multi-instrumentalist Chet Williams, Modern Television, Muccino, and more. Bourbon & Branch, 705 N. 2nd St., 7pm, $10-$15, 21+ – Bill McThrill
