New NAH Compilation Available for Streaming & Purchase
Scattered, volatile, percussion-consuming beats with a defiant punk/hip-hop core, that’s only the start to describing the sonic production that comes from NAH. Now, a comprehensive collection of his output from last year (four cassettes + one 12" LP) is available for streaming and purchase in the concisely titled 2016 Complete Works. Get sucked in through the strangely hypnotic, sonic vortex, and lock into those relentlessly churning grooves. After returning from a stint of European dates, NAH will be performing at the First Unitarian Church on Sunday, April 23 with Wolf Eyes, TRNSGNDR/VHS, and Madam Data.
New Music Video: “Drugs” – Moon Bounce
We probably need to do a copious amount drugs to forget some of the things that we’ve seen in Moon Bounce‘s latest creation. Corey Regensburg stars and hilariously bares all in the Peter English-directed music video, with beautiful animation and artwork by Raymo Ventura. We can only imagine the amount of effort expended to pull this off, and they succeeded tenfold. "Drugs" is the lead single off Moon Bounce’s forthcoming LP Clean House, due out on March 10 via Grind Select.

New Track: “Running Hot” – Littler
Bi-coastal rockers Littler announced that they would be going on hiatus this past summer, but that doesn’t seem to have lasted very long. The band just announced that it will be releasing a four-song EP, titled Bad Hand, on April 28 via Yellow K Records/Disposable America. It was recorded and mixed by Kyle Gilbride (of Wherever Audio). The goup already shared its lead single, "Oversteeped," which was also accompanied by a music video, and now, we have another new single for your listening pleasure called "Running Hot". New Track: “Anxiety Blues” – Kate Dressed Up
Katie Miller, a.k.a. Kate Dressed Up, dishes on her personal demons with “Anxiety Blues”. Found on her new EP Destinations, the song, adorned in a traditional country/blues arrangement, deals with the perplexing personal problems that can consume one’s mind regularly, especially during these head-scratching times. Sometimes, it just feels easier to over think than to move forward.
The Deli’s Best Emerging Philly Psych Pop/Rock Artist: The Dove & The Wolf!
After compiling the jurors’, readers’/fans’ and writers’ votes for The Deli Philly’s Best Emerging Psych Pop/Rock artists, congrats to The Dove & The Wolf! Paloma Gil and Louise Hayat-Camard had already started making a name for themselves under the moniker with the release of their debut self-titled EP and and tours with Rachael Yamagata and Butch Walker. After a transformative experience, while being in Paris during the Bataclan terrorist attack, the ladies were eventually able to renew their visas and return home to Philly. Inspired by their experiences during those troubling times, the duo eventually teamed up with Dave Hartley (The War on Drugs) and Nick Krill (The Spinto Band) to record the moving I Don’t Know What To Feel. And what was originally self-released as a five-song EP has now expanded to seven, and will be reissued on March 24 via Fat Possum so this victory looks to be just the start of what should be another memorable year for The Dove & The Wolf – hopefully in a much better way.
Runner-up Japanese Breakfast and honorable mention recipients Carroll are also worthy of your adoration, but also check out the rest of our talented nominees that made this year’s list! (Photo by Sidney Bensimon)

The group also took a moment to discuss some of their favorite local music, inspirations, collaborations, etc. Mannequin Pussy will be performing at Johnny Brenda’s tomorrow night, as part of The Trevor Project Benefit, where they’ll be joined by Abi Reimold, King Azaz, and Carcara.

Slinky, space-age synth effortlessly glide in Secret Dimenisons, the latest from Danger Mode. New Stinking Lizaveta Album Available for Streaming & Purchase
It’s been nearly half a decade since we’ve had a new album from Philly’s stoner metal power trio Stinking Lizaveta. For the group’s follow-up to 2012’s The Seventh Direction, the band traveled to the north shore of Lake Pontchartrain, Louisiana to record Journey to the Underworld at "Nosferatus’ Lair" Studio. Guitarist Yanni Papadopoulos shared with the UK blog, The Sludgelord, "We wanted to record in New Orleans because of the demonic musical energy one feels down there… At the bottom of the Mississippi you get an underworld feel, like the spirits are all alive and ready to commune with you. Maybe it’s Voodoo, or just the deep musical culture." You can stream and purchase Journey to the Underworld, which is available via Translation Loss Records, below.
The Deli Philly’s Yearly Readers’/Fans’ Psych Rock/Pop Poll Winner: Ceramic Animal
We just wrapped up our Yearly Readers’/Fans’ Poll for the categories of Psych Rock/Pop. Thank you to those who took the time to check out and vote for some of the amazing talent on our nominees list. It was another heated battle.
Congrats go out to the suave, turtleneck-wearing gang of Ceramic Animal! The Bucks County quartet casually grooved its way into the Philly music scene with its radio-ready, retro-tinged, self-proclaimed brand of "dad rock," found on the group’s debut release, The Cart, which so happened to be recorded at the band’s Daddy’s Basement Studio. Frontman Warrren Regan charms with a crooner-like magnetism, as cohorts Elliott Regan, Erik Regan, and Walker Gall assist in laying down some sophisticated, endearing tunes. Expect to hear more from these old souls in the coming years!
