Brendan Losch “Low”

Posted on:

Local blogger (Count Me Out) and musician Brendan Losch is releasing his third full-length album, Low, on April 10th. The album will feature a backing band consisting of John Morton and Aaron Sandberg (Bullets in Madison) and guest vocals from Gia Margaret (Little Light).

From the sound of the first single, "Son of a Gun", the addition of the band has given Losch a fuller sound to support his always powerful vocals.

Keith Masters “Electromajic”

The Germany based indie label, Kiez Beats released the new remix album from Keith Masters, Electromajic. The project features contributions from Lady Nogrady, Natalie Oliveri and Vince P and dynamite production from Minnox, Ren Riz, Digikid84, Futurecop!, Odd Modern, GunSlungLow, Daze and Flashworx.

For years I’ve felt Keith does not get the attention that he deserves. He has been churning out some of the best electronic and hip hop beats in the city for years. This album is one of his more inventive projects and is a solid listen.

Serengeti “Don’t Blame Steve”

Posted on:

It is a hard moment to relive, but Serengeti makes a case for not blaming Bartman for the Cubs failure in the NL Playoffs. "Don’t Blame Steve" comes from his new ep Kenny Dennis and was produced by Jel & Odd Nosdam.

Who knows, maybe if we forgive Bartman we will have another shot at the World Series?

Isaiah Grass “P H E R O M O N E S”

Posted on:

Isaiah Grass continues to pump out the singles. His latest is called "PHEROMONES", and it is just as polished and stylish as the rest. The single which dropped on Feb. 23rd is his first of 2012, but 8th overall since releasing "I’m a Freak" back in Jan 2011. Grass is a model and young emerging pop star who is definitely on the rise.

You can hear an interview with Isaiah on Fearless Radio from back in Sept here.

King of Prussia

King of Prussia return with their second LP on April 17th, Transmissions From The Grand Strand. That all sounds simple but the album is actually five years in the making. The driving force behind the band is the Kevin Barnes-esque Brandon Hanick and his journey began back in 2008 in Myrtle Beach.

Through our the writing process Hanick has relocated to Spain, enlisted 16 different musicians from five different countries, and somehow landed in in Chicago to set-up camp. It is an incredible journey, a brilliant album, and we are glad to have in Chicago.

The band will soon announce tour plans for spring and summer 2012.
