The Curls have released a new single called “Prickly Feelings”. It is the first single from the band’s forthcoming LP, Super Unit.

You can catch The Curls at Triple Crown Whiskey Bar on July 28th with Liza Anne w/ Chris Coleslaw. They will also be performing at Double Door an August 7th with Mykele Deville.

Brad Peterson has released the first single, “What The Open Heart Allows”, from his forthcoming album, The Ellipsis Album. This is the first album that Peterson has created entirely on his own. The full album will be self-released on September 22nd.

Bunny

Bunny announced their debut EP, Sucker, this week, and released their first single “Not Even You”. Fronted by hazy vocals of Jessica Viscius, Bunny is off to a very promising start. Their EP will be released later this summer.

You can catch Bunny at Schubas (Post-Lollapalooza Show) on August 4th and at The Hideout on September 2nd.

Runt.

Runt. has signed to We Are Trying Records and will release their debut EP, Good and Loud on August 31st. The EP’s first single, “Here’s Some Space” will be dropping on July 28th. Runt. is a trio fronted by Jay Pankiewicz.

Company of Thieves to Reunite!

It’s been ten years since Company of Thieves released their debut album, Ordinary Riches, and now they are back together after a five year hiatus. The trio of Genevieve Schatz, Marc Walloch and Chris Faller have planned a tour for September and will be releasing a new single this summer. Below is my favorite song, "Oscar Wilde" from Ordinary Riches.

Moonrise Nation has released a new single from their forthcoming LP debut album, Glamour Child. The album will be released via Zinc Records on July 28th. This is the indie pop trio of Emma McCall and sisters Arden and Eva Baldinger.

Panda Riot

Dream Pop vets Panda Riot will release their latest album, Infinity Maps, this Friday, June 9th.

The band recently released a video for the LP first single, “Arrows”.

You can catch Panda Riot at Chop Shop on July 8th as part of the Windy City Crash Pop Fest. They will also be performing at Empty Bottle on August 20th with Turing Heat and A Place Both Wonderful and Strange.
