The experimental Metal band Scientist has released the title track from their forthcoming LP, Barbelith. The album, the band’s third full-length, will be released on April 13th.

Scientist will be a part of The DOC Metal Show’s 5 year Anniversary show at Reggie’s on March 24th with Pale Horseman, Snow Burial, and Gamma Goat.

Minor Characters

Minor Characters have released a new single called “Pimp of Freedom (Whores of D.C.)”. This is the first single from their forthcoming album, We Can’t Be Wrong, which will be released on April 6th.

You can catch Minor Characters lead singer Andrew Pelletier performing a free show at The Whistler on Feb. 10th with Josefina.

Radiant Devices “unheeded”

Radiant Devices is the work of Mojdeh, Fyodor Sakhnovski, and Thomas Wells. Their new EP, unheeded, will be released on February 18th. Below is the first single, “Dirty”, from the EP and it displays the trio’s eclectic mix of rock, electronic, and industrial sounds.

The record release event for Unheeded will take place on March 9th at Constellation Chicago. You can also catch Radiant Devices at Heartland Cafe on Feb. 17th with Aftersound and Damn Witch Siren.

Gal Gun

Gal Gun recently released their debut full-length album called Special Music of Emotion. The album features previously released singles, “Heartbleed” and “La Nina Winter”, but also contains a ton of great new music.

You can catch Gal Gun on January 27th with Beach Bunny, Girl K, and Jimmy Floortom for a house show in Edgewater. They will also be performing at Record Breakers (2935 N. Milwaukee) on Feb. 3rd with Kevin and Hell and Cherry Cherry Bomb.

Beach Bunny “Sports”

Power pop group Beach Bunny kicked of 2018 by releasing a catchy new single called “Sports”. This is the groups follow-up to their 2017 EP, Crybaby.

Company of Thieves @ Aragon Ballroom (1/26)

Back in July we shared shared the announcement that Company of Theives had reunited and their new single (the first in six years) “Treasure”. Since that time the band has been working on their new EP, Better Together, which is due out on February 28th. Leading up the EP release the band will be touring the country and opening up for Walk The Moon in several cities.
