Kyoto-born multi-instrumentalist composer and emcee Sen Morimoto will be releasing his new LP, Cannonball! Via Sooper Record on May 4th. Morimoto, now based in Chicago, blends jazz, pop, and hip hop to create a sound all his own. The album features contribution from Kaina and Reason Being.

Hardcore Quartet Nequient is has recently signed to Nefarious Industries and is preparing to release their debut full-length album, Wolves At The Door on May 18th. The band has released two singles, the album opener “Scorcher” and the insane “Cat’s Cradle”. According to lead vocalist Jason Kolkey, "As the album’s opening track, ‘Scorcher’ is meant to slap you in the face with hook-laden metallic hardcore and make sure you’re paying attention”.
Owen Finn released an EP called "Nothing More to Say” last year and returned with an outstanding new Alex Fumo produced track, “Blue”. The track has such and addictive melody that will be challenge to escape once you here it.
V.V. Lightbody aka Vivian McConnell (Santah, Grankids) has announced her debut solo album, Bathing Peach. This album is orchestral dream pop, or nap rock as McConnell has dubbed it, and is beautiful start to finish. The album was inspired by a several month trip to Spain and you feel that tropical and Brazilian influence trough out. This will be a perfect summer listen.

Producer Cofresi has released a new EP called “Faces”. Over the five tracks on the EP, Cofresi provides layered beats for a array of local emcees and singers. The EP features contributions from Ehiorobo, Probcause, Wax Future, Jofred, Marcus Atom, Catho, and P-Riles.
Cofresi will be performing at Summer Camp Festival in Chillicothe, IL May 25th to 27th.
