Ruins is the solo lo-fi bedroom pop of Adam Schubert of Cafe Racer. Earlier this month his self-titled debut EP was released by Dumpster Tapes. The collection of raw, warm solo recordings were all recorded on an iPhone and are all earnest explorations of loss and struggle.

Oktave Records has released the latest EP, “Fractions”, from it’s founder Jeff Derringer. This three song EP ranges from classic in your face techno, “Fractions”, to groove-based hypnotic beats “Penalty Phase”, to a more downtempo piece, “The Second Plane”.

Little Church released their latest EP, "Episode 2”, last month. This is the four-piece warped pop and soul group led by the vocals and guitar of Chelsea Foss-Ralston with Christian Whiting on Bass & Synth, Khori Wilson on Drums, and Sean McConnell on Synths.

Mimic released the first single, “Jungle”, from his forthcoming project last week. This is his first release since his 2017 debut album, Watering Grass. The single falls somewhere between dance, soul, and hip hop.

Puddle Splashers has released a new video of the Math Rock Pyramid Scheme performing a new track called “DJ Sloth; Live and Unplugged in Heaven” at Auxiliary Art Center. The trio made their debut last year by releasing a split EP with Monobody.

The band recorded a new album this Spring that they are planning to release at some point this summer.

Last week electronic composer, Steve Hauschildt announced that his next album, Dissolvi, will be released on August 3rd via Ghostly International. This is his first full-length album on Ghostly and his most collaborative release to date.

Last month the local labels 1980 Records and Milk Factory Productions teamed up to release the sophomore self-titled album from Restroy. This is a collection of very talented Jazz musicians lead by bassists and composer Chris Dammann and featuring Avreeayl Ra (Drums), Mabel Kwan (Piano, Keyboards), Paul Giallorenzo (Synths), James Davis (Trumpet), and Kevin Davis (Cello, Big Muff, RIng Modulator).

Sorner is the solo project of musicians and audio engineer Ethan Rader. Yesterday he released his debut EP, “We Don’t Talk” and it is a collection of four well-crafted Emo songs that he calls “sad boi jams”.

Last month The Palmer Squares released their third collection of “The One Takes” featuring the 2018 single and The Loard Himself produced track “Woken”. The video below was directed by Josh Stone and is perfectly in line with tag team style of the song itself.

The Palmer Square just wrapped up a tour and documented it weekly on their hit podcast TPS Reports.

Sugarpulp has released a new EP called “Open yr Mouth”. Sugarpulp is lead by the powerful vocals and keyboard playing of Deb Chesterman. Below is the band’s Tiny Desk Concert audition tape performance of the EP’s lead track “Machete”.

Jupiter Styles (FKA Single Player) is the solo project of Sean Neumann. He announced today that he has signed with Other World Recordings (US) and Human Noise Records (UK) and will be releasing his debut album, Be Good, on July 13th. The album features contributions from Dave Sagan of Ratboys (guitar/piano), Marcus Nuccio of Pet Symmetry (drums), Seth Engel of Lifted Bells (guitar) and Nick Levine of Jodi (pedal steel).

arthhur is the duo fronted by Mike Fox with support from Matt Ciani. Back in March they released their sophomore album, Come Meet The Opposite Committee. This was a well-crafted indie rock album and they even shared how they crafted it.

This month they released a chiptune EP called "Dark Sporch Chronicles EP”. This is all instrumental and inspired by Patagonia Wiki. What could come across as a joke is actually a beautiful collection of melodies.
