Gentle Heat are preparing to release a new EP called “Liminal” via Skeletal Records on February 1st. This is the Noise Rock band’s follow-up to their 2018 debut album Dissolve (Sooper Records, March 2018). The EP’s first single and lead track is called “Ghost Town Hiss” and can be streamed below.

The mysterious new garage rock duo Wht.Rbbt.Obj have kicked of 2019 by releasing their first two singles “Unlucky 13” and “Silence”. What we know is that this is a married coupled calling themselves Francis & River with other musical identities in the community. We could make some guesses as to who this may be, but we are too busy enjoying their music.

AM Taxi has released a second single, “Brandy Don’t Let Me Down”. From their forthcoming album, Shiver By Me, which is due out on January 25th.

Bread Doe has released his debut Full-Length album, Raisin’ Bread. The album features the recent singles “40”, "Pick Up”, and “Come Thru”, but Bread Doe released a new single and video called “With Me” to coincide with the album release.

ProbCause x The Palemer Squares have released a great, Paul Araki Elliott directed, video for their track “Hall of Famers” from their collaborative album, Junkyard Samurai.

The Drew Mantia produced video finds the trio jumping through classic films while delivering one of the more heavy hitting tracks from their project.

The Tomblands recently released a new single called “Broken String”. The track has a scorching guitar line that places it on the heavier side of the Psych Rock.

This is the work of Danny Urbana, Nick Layton, Liam Burns, Jimmy Kowalczyk, and Joey Buttlar.

Electronic Music Producer Dan Derks recently released his latest album, nested. The sounds on this album were created with a STS Serge Animal at the Vintage Synth Museum in Oakland, CA. and the sequencing was improvised with an app called “Less Concepts”.

Derks is also the host of the local electronic and experimental works podcast called “Sound +Process” where he deconstructs experimental music through conversations with the composers.

Ohmme announced this week that they will be releasing a new 7” single called “At Night” via Joyful Noise on February 1st. The b-side of the single will be their cover of the B-52’s 1980 classic “Give me Back My Man”.

Post Punk duo DROOL released their latest album, DROOL II, today via Born Yesterday. The easy comparison for their sound is a modern and slightly more warped Joy Division, but their sound is fuller and more aggressive at times. This is am amped up and violent take on Joy Division with a splash of King Missile and early Sonic Youth.

The production duo of Midas Wells and Chris Kramer, known as Tensei, is preparing to release their latest album Constellate on January 21st via Tokyo Dawn Records. The album will feature contribution from Liv Warfield, Sam Trump, Sulaiman, and many more.

The duo recently released the album’s opening track and lead single “Liquid Tongues” which features silky, soulful vocals from A. Billi Free.

Shy Technology kicked off 2019 by releasing a new single called “For Days”. This is Indie Rock band’s second single in as months following-up “Hello, My Name Is Victory”.

This is the work of David Coulson, Irving Vazquez, Jon Wilson, and Alex Ivanov.

Lucille Furs have shared a pure Psych-Pop gem called "Paint Euphrosyne Blue” from their forthcoming sophomore album Another Land with is due out February 15th via the French label Requiem Pour Un Twister.
