Let’s Pet “The Bluff”

The latest release from Migration Media is somewhat unique, Let’s Pet, was formed by three members of Teith, Billy Baumann, Lisa Shelley de Brauw, and Trevor Shelley de Brauw, along with Dan Staackmann. They went into the studio with Che Arthur back in 2012 and recorded an album called “The Bluff”.

At the time they had no release plans or label, but felt they need to get these songs out and recorded. The band went on hiatus and has yet to reform, but Migration Media will be releasing “The Bluff” on February 22nd.

Beach Bunny “February” Video

Beach Bunny has released a Katrina Reschke directed video for their new song “February”. We first heard this song on their recently release Audiotree session, and it is obviously a perfect song to release this time of year.

Beach Bunny is project of Lili Trifilio with the support of Matt Henkels and Jonathan Alvarado.

Minor Moon Album Release at Constellation (2/15)

Minor Moon has recently announced that their latest LP, An Opening, will be released via Midwest Action on February 8th. The Sam Cantor fronted band spent 2018 preparing for the release and dropped three singles from this project through out the year.

William Covert releases Music for Synthesizer and Drums

Drummer William Covert of Space Blood and Rust Ring has released a solo album called Music for Synthesizer and Drums via the British Columbia label Coup Sur Coup. The album first single is called “I Am Not Paul Avery” and is accompanied by the wild video below.

Alt Country group South City Revival has released a new single called “Singer In A Country Band”. This is their first release since their 2017 self-titled debut EP.

South City Revival is the work of Joe Pacelli (Vocals, Acoustic Guitar), John Quinn (Guitar), Mike Fitzgerald (Bass), Brendan Linnane (Pedal Steel, Mandolin), and Pino Perez (Drum).

Nature’s Neighbor “Floating Continent”

Nature’s Neighbor has always been the work of Mike Walker and friends. Last month he released a new album called Jade that featured Daniel Lee and Terrill Mast. It was a beautiful Lo-Fi, acoustic, adventure.

On February 11th he will be releasing a new album called Ur that promises to take his sound in a whole new direction. For this outing he has enlisted the services of some of the city’s finest. Ur will feature Nnamdi Ogbonnaya (guitars, piano, drums, bass), James Collver (korg, sound effects), Sen Morimoto (saxophone), Cheer Zhao (lyrics, vocals), Conor Mackey (bassoon), Vivian McConnell (flute), Daniel Lee (cello), Seth Engel (drums, guitars, rhodes, bass, sampler, vibraphone, piano) and of course Mike himself on everything else.

They recently released the album’s first single, “Floating Continent”, and it blends Orchestral Rock, Psych Pop, and more.
