PreBen is the work the artist and musician Ben Dorsz. He has released an array of singles and albums filled with experimental electronic music over the last few years, and dropped his latest, “Manitcore”, this month. This single, with a b-side called “Against It”, is looping dance track steadied by an addictive beat under layers wrapped and creative sounds.
Half Gringa “Teggsas”
Half Gringa recently released a new single called “Teggsas”. This is the first new music we have gotten from Izzy Olive and crew since 2017’s amazing Gruñona LP.

Pivot Gang “Jason Statham, Pt. 2”
Pivot Gang used the insanely brutal winter we having to their advantage and dropped a hot new video last week called “Jason Statham, Pt. 2”. The track and video feature three members of the group, Joseph Chilliams, Saba, and MFnMelo, along with production from daedaePIVOT and SqueakPIVOT.
The video also set the stage to announce Saba’s insane 2019 tour schedule which includes a leg with J.I.D. and stops at both Bonnaroo and Firefly among other festivals.
Endolphins
Endolphins is the experimental rock of Alex Strong and Daniel Payne. The duo released a new self-titled album earlier this month and an accompanied video for the album’s lead single “Grey Scale”. The creates a unique synth-pop sound by utilizing an array of samples to blend with their synth and guitar based sound.
Nick Henderson “We Don’t Care”
Nick Henderson recently released a a.J. sPITz directed video for his 2018 single “We Don’t Care”. Henderson combines Hip Hop and R&B as he dances through alleys and yards of Chicago in this beautifully shot video.
The Curls “Isn’t It Funny”
The Curls have released a new single called “Isn’t It Funny” via Diversion Records. The track feature a contribution from Sophagus, and is a great additions the band’s catalog. It follows their three singles of 2018, “Bad Boi”, “Tidal Wave”, and “Underneath”, all of which followed-up 2017’s Super Unit.

What Gives on Puddle Splashers
Puddle Splashers have released a new video featuring a fantastic performance by What Gives. For this live session they perform “You Go That Way, I’ll Go Home”, one of the indie rock band’s latest singles, which was released back in October on Skeletal Lightning.
The band announced this month that they will be touring Japan this summer with The Firewood Project.

SiP @ Cafe Mustache (2/23)
SiP, as it stands today, is the outlet for the Synth-based explorations of Jimmy Lacy. Over the last couple of year he has released incredibly rich live recordings, “Live on Planet Catieo” and "Live at The Whistler”, that really need to be heard to fully understand the live experience of SiP.

Nissim @ SPACE (3/11)
Experimental producer Nissim has been on the rise since arriving in the Chicago. He recently produced a track called “Barcelona” on the latest Mick Jenkins album, Pieces of a Man, and is preparing to release his debut album later this year.
Nissim will be making his live Chicago debut on March 11th at SPACE in Evanston with DJ Taye, THEMPeople, and Alejandro Paredes.
Engines “The Sacred Heart”
Engines have release a track called “The Sacred Heart” from their forthcoming EP called “Every Cell”. This is the indie rock of Craig Woods, Lee Zickwolf, Jeff Twietmeyer, Justin Wexler, and Emily Jancetic.
Ashen Swan & Adela Skowronski
Ambient electronic music producer Ashen Swan (aka Nathan Kwon) has teamed up with the Pianist/Cellist Adela Skowronski to create an achingly beautiful new piece called “Things In Slow Motion”.

Vick Lavender
Vick Lavender has released pulsing new EP called “Time Traveler” via his own label Sophisticado Records. This is the Soulful House music veteran’s first release since 2016’s and continue his work of blending Jazz, Funk, Deep House music into a fundamentally danceable sound.
Vick also just dropped a new single called “Cosmic Love” featuring Angel A via Wrong Notes.
