Warm Human “Y U”

Warm Human (aka Meredith Johnson) has released a second single and video called “Y U" from her forthcoming LP, Ghastly. The video was directed by Chuck Norment and Meredith herself.

Her album is set to be released on March 8th which is timed perfectly for her to make her SXSW debut next week.

This is introspective and cinematic chamber pop complete with an impressive amount of strings. What a great first offering and addition to the growing Readymade Utopia stable.

Indie Folk musician Max Subar has released the latest single, “Without You”, from his forthcoming EP, “What The Story Says” which is due out on April 12th. This is the second single that Max has released since his 2017 debut EP, “In A Dream”.

Bill Mackay “Fountain Fire”

Chicken Happen “Lazy”

Chicken Happen has released the first single, “Lazy”, from their forthcoming album Burn In The U.S.A. This is the first new music from the band since 2016’s EP, “Let’s Be Real”.

Drilling For Blasting “Butter”

Rock duo Drilling For Blasting has released the first single, “Butter”, from their forthcoming debut full-length album, Fingers Are The Best Eyes. The album will be releasing later this Spring via Underground Communique Records.

This is the work of Douglas Ward and Kammy Lee who have been working together since 2013.

Okay Alright “Good Light”

Okay Alright (aka Brycen Waitkus) released a new single called “Good Light” today. This is the first new music from Brycen since his 2018 album Tomorrow, When We Wake, and first since leading his hometown of Chicago for California.

The track is lovely bedroom folk filled out perfectly by the backing vocals on Corinne Lykins.

Absolutely Not “Glitch” Video

Absolutely Not has released a terrifying, but darkly funny, Dave Rentauskas directed video for their latest single “Glitch”. The premise of the video imagines Trump as a Michael Myers like figure as his physically attacks the individuals that he currently only verbally and politically attacks.

The track is taken from their latest album, Problematic, which will be released this Friday, March 1st.

Woongi “Fire’s Dead”

Sooper Records announced this week that they will releasing the next album, Rip’s Cuts, from Synth Rock band Woongi. This will be the band’s first album since 2017’s Music for Prophet and first with the label.

The band released the first single, “Fire’s Dead”, from the album which is accompanied by the Alex Jensen directed video below.
