Chicago born Rapper Ca$his will be releasing his latest album, The Art of Living, on May 3rd via Cleopatra Records. He recently released a video for the LP lead single “What Ca$his Bout”.

Midnight Dice @ Reggie’s (5/3)

Metal band Midnight Dice recently released their self-titled debut EP digitally and on May 3rd it will be receiving a vinyl release via Chicago Metal label Hoove Child Records.

This is the traditional metal sounds of Mandy Martillo (Vocals), Steve "Lethal" Beaudette (Guitars), Patrick "Rusty" Glockle (Drums), and Jose Salazar (Bass).

Death Valley

The new local label Chicago Research has been putting out some quality music for several months now. On May 15th they will be releasing the debut single from Death Valley. This is the pinnacle of Synth Pop and one of the strongest debuts we’ve seen in awhile.

The single is called “Stuntwoman” b/w “Wavelengths” and will be available on 7” vinyl and digitally below.

6’10 “Where We Are”

6’10 is the side project of Tobin Bawinkel of Celtic Punk band Flatfoot 56. For this project he explores his roots and love for Americana and traditional folk music.

The group’s latest EP was released last week and is called “Where We Are”. This is their first new album since their 2014 LP, The Humble Beginnings of a Roving Soul.

Instrumental Rock trio Pyramid Scheme have released a new album called Everything but Rap and Country.

This is the work of Al Costis (Bass), Rajiv Raju (Guitar), and Seth Engel (Drums). Their sounds is somewhere between improvised jazz and math rock, but does not include Rap or Country in any way.

Fee Lion “Blood Sisters”

Fee Lion (aka Justina Kairyte) is preparing to release her latest EP, “Blood Sisters”, tomorrow, April 10th. This is Dark Synthpop with elements of Industrial, and you can stream the EP’s lead track “Re: (Visit)” below.

There is a listening party for the EP at The Hoxton (200 N. Green) on April 10th. This is also a release event for Glamour Girl Book 6.

This is the work of Nick Tantillo, Eddie Ashe, Nick Maldonado, and Gwen Drummond.

oeugons are real “Say It Again With Different Words”

Oeugons are Real are preparing to release their latest album, "Say It Again With Different Words” on April 19th. This is the band’s first release of 2019 and follow-up 2018’s Don’t Hold Anything.

What began as a solo project of Tristan Zemtseff (guitar/vocals) has blossomed into a trio with the addition of Andy Eisen (bass/vocals) and Courtney McNally (drums).

Without Light “The Dread Gospels”

Doom Metal band Without Light have released the second single, “In Depths of Sleep”, from their forthcoming debut album, The Dread Gospels. The album is set to be released on April 20th via Weed Cabinet Records.

This is the work of Eric Sanchez (guitar), Angel Onofre (guitar), Jamie Danger (bass/vocals), and Luke Scriven (drums).

Without Light will be performing on WZRD 88.3 on Thursday, April 11th at 10 pm. You can see them live on April 18th at The Owl with Underwire and IYAC.

Not For You “Drift”

Not For You has released a new EP called “Drift”. This is DIY rock sounds of Lindsey Sherman (Vocals, Guitar), Pasha Petrosyan (Drums), and Michael Dunne (Bass).

The EP is their follow-up to 2018’s Drown, and is the band’s fifth release overall.
