Suburban Rock Trio Sans Lorenzo have released a new single called “Lilacia Park”. This is the work of the trio of Dan Couture (Guitar, Vocals), Kevin Graf (Lead Drums), and Nate Brown (Bass Guitar), and this single has just enough vintage Dinosaur Jr. element to have us loving it.
Plastic Cameras
Plastic Cameras is a mysterious new ambient music project and they released their debut album, Soundtrack For Super 8, last month. This is a collection of field recordings, electronics and tape loops to create something experimental, beautiful, and unique.
Snooze “Familiaris”
Math Rockers Snooze released their latest album, Familiaris, last week. The group blends Math Rock with elements of Punk and Hardcore to create an inventive and addictive sound.

Dead Ending “(It’s Not) What You Believe”
Dead Ending released a new single, “(It’s Not) What You Believe” b/w “Painkiller”, last week via Alternative Tentacles. This is the first new music we have had the from the hardcore band since 2017.
This is the work of Hardcore legends Vic Bondi, Jeff Dean, Derek Grant, and Nate Gluck.
The Child of Eve
The Child of Eve is the earnest folk music of Benjamin Groth. He released his debut EP, “Bramble”, earlier this year, and it is beautiful, thoughtful independent music.

Will Bennett & The Tells “Charades”
Will Bennett & The Tells recently released the first single, “Charades”, from their forthcoming album, All Your Favorite Songs, which is due out July 22nd. This is the Alt-Country band’s first album single 2016’s, Wichita.
In addition to singer/songwriter Will Bennet, The Tells are primarily Wilson Brehmer (Guitar), Ethan Kenvarg (Bass), and Daniel Martinson (Drums, Backing Vocals).

Malci “Papaya!”
Malci released his latest album, Papaya!, this week. This is experimental Hip Hop that blends jazz, funk, found sounds, and more while creating complex beats to support Malci’s inventive lyrics.
This is the follow-up to Malci’s 2017 album, Do You Know Yourself, and a fine example of just how sonically diverse Hip Hop is in 2019.

Spencer Radcliffe & Everyone Else “Bloodletting”
Spencer Radcliffe & Everyone Else are preparing to release their latest album, Hot Spring, on May 17th via Run For Cover. You can currently stream the LP’s first two singles “Bloodletting” and “Here Comes The Snow” below.
“Everyone Else” is Ben Austin (Cello), Grant Engstrom (Lead Guitar), Pat Lyons (Pedal Steel), Tina Scarpello (Vocals), and Jack Schemenauer (Percussion).
On the latest single, “Bloodletting”, the steel guitar of Lyons almost steels the show, driving the band’s sound past Americana into near Alt-Country territory. Every moment is soul searching bliss, and a perfect dim barroom soundtrack.
Zigtebra “Canyon”
Dream Pop duo Zigtebra released a new single and video called “Canyon” this week. This is the first single from their forthcoming EP which is due out this Fall.
Zigtebra is the work of Emily Rose and Joe Zeph, and this single follows-up their 2018 debut LP, Major Crush.
The Phantom Broadcast
The Phantom Broadcast released their latest album, Antiquities, Volume 1, last week. This is more of a collective of musicians than a band with a sound the truly defies classification. There are elements of Rock, Metal, Jazz, and classical music as the group creates beauty , harmony, and melody out of what feels like could fall into chaos at any moment.
This is the work of Evan Opitz (Vocals, Electric Guitar, Fender Rhodes, Toy Piano, Synths), Dave Hollis (Vocals, Electric/Acoustic Guitars, Synths), Lucy Little (Vocals, Violin), Nick Soria (Bass, Vocals), and Colin Rambert (Drums/Percussion).
Still + Storm “The Dark”
Dark Electro-Pop duo Still + Storm released their latest EP, “The Dark”, last week via Mstatement. This is the work of Husband and Wife Rachel and Dave Raymond. Dave has been a mainstay in Chicago for years with bands like Given Names and Hidden Hospitals and runs the Mstatement label.

The Dead Licks “What Happened”
The Dead Licks released a new single this week called “What Happened”. This is the first new music we’ve had from the Alt Rock Quartet since their early 2018 debut LP, Stay Away from the Aliens.
This is the first of two singles the band has planned for the first half of 2019 before they release their sophomore album.
