Post-Punk quartet French Police released an EP this week called “Pedaleo Nocturno”. This follows their self-titled debut LP, which was just released back in January. The EP contain tracks in both Spanish and English and is filled with a nostalgic New Wave/Post-Punk sound that will quickly take back to the early ’80’s.

French Police is the work of Brian Flores, Jesse Flores, Jose Vega, and Kevin Peralta.

Bryan Away has released the first single, “Birthday Song”, from his forthcoming EP. The new EP will be called “Give In” and will be officially released on June 14th.

Beneficials released the first single, “Management”, from their forthcoming debut LP, Torn Cloud. The single is accompanied by a wild video created by the band’s Cole M. Johnson and featuring art by Brennan Zweig.

American Damage has shared an excerpt from the new tape from Terran Wretch, Tomb Weaver. This is new experimental Ambient music from Anthony Dunn, formerly of Sun Splitter, is both ominous and beautiful.

Singer/Songwriter Conrad Merced recently released a new single called “Don’t Stop Here”. This follow’s his creative 2018 Shel Silverstein Tribute EP, and is taken from his forthcoming album.

Advance Base (aka Owen Ashworth) has released a great cover of the classic Magnetic Fields song “Either You Don’t Love Me Or I Don’t Love You”. The track is taken from his remastered Magnetic Fields cover EP, “Tomorrow’s Home Today”, wihich will be reissued via Orindal Records on September 13th. However, the album will be available in person through out the tour.

The single was released in conjunction with the announcement of Ashworth’s summer tour, which kicks off on June 21st at Hungry Brain with Claire Cronin & Moon Racer. You can find all of the tour dates here.

Dia.L is the collaboration between Vocialist Lailah Reich and producer Radius. The duo is preparing to release their sophomore album, the follow-up to 2016’s self-titled release, on June 28th. The album is called Injera and takes its name from the Ethiopian flatbread.

Last week local veteran emcee Tree released a new project called The Wild End with the New Jersey production duo Parallel Thought (aka Jeff Blacker & Adam Calman).

This project comes on the heels of his most recent album, We Grown Now, which just dropped back in April.

Tree has come to be known for a sound he calls Soultrap and that sound is alive and well on this album. Tree’s music is always personal, but this album seems to take that intimacy to a whole new level. The album takes its title, The Wild End, from the place Tree spent his childhood, Cabrini-Green. The cover photo was taken of Tree in 1988 at the housing project by Marc PoKempner.

The folk duo of Daniel Robbins & Eric Quigley, asa known as The Alibis, recently released their debut album Bloom. This is album is gentle, beautiful, and filled with warm harmonies.

The duo received some help from a few friends in recording the album including the talented Nikki Morgan on Nikki Morgan on two of the songs, “To Stay” and “Day To Rise”.

Poor Calvin recently released the first single, “Sleepless Lullaby”, from their forthcoming debut album, Optimism Inc, which is due out July 19th.

SEENMR (aka Sean Cullen) released his debut full-length album today, May 31st, via Glue Moon. This is a collection of his work over the last ten years and a shining example of collage-based electronic music.

Cullen is a skateboarder, artist, and clearly an exceptional producer.
