Vilebred Kickin’ Some Clown Ass at North Star Bar Nov. 7

Having grown up under the same roof with Kurt Vile, it’s pretty easy to pick out some of the sonic influences that filled their home. However, Sam Vile continues to step out from his older brother’s shadow and bask in his own light of experimental rock. (Hehe…I was sooooo tempted to make an awful metaphor which included TLC’s conjoined twins Abby and Brittany, but I decided to spare you the awkward read…you’re welcome.) With two promising releases already under Sam’s belt with his band Vilebred, the younger Vile is set to headline the North Star Bar tonight with enough solid material to make you forget about you know who on Matador Records. Come out with an open mind this evening, and I’m sure that you’ll be thoroughly entertained. After all, with lyrics like “I’m gonna grab me a clown, put its head into the ground, cause it’s habit…” how can you not be? (BTW: I HATE CLOWNS!)
