Sonia Khaleel has released her debut album, Shark. Stylistically, the album is an impressive mixture of ’50’s pop and ’80’s rock (think The Smiths meets the Grease Soundtrack). Khaleel, originally from Detroit, has come to Chicago to thrive in our music scene, and this debut proves she is a welcomed addition.
