Darkwave trio Blood Sound can provide some shade from the unrelenting heat of summer. The group dishes kinetic, inspiring songs propelled by heart-thumping bass lines that team up with synths that reach past the known perimeters and percussion that steadily ties it together. The collective sound is bathed in the murky unknown of what lies in the cavern of one’s mind, yet the lure to explore that area persists. The Morelings, with a Jeff Zeigler-produced debut LP in the works, perform this evening as a chilling under current lies in wait amid their the hypnotic dream of sound.
