As we announced back in April, Mucca Pazza has a new album coming out next week called Safety Fifth through Electric Cowbell Records.

The band recently released a new video for the track "Boss Taurus", and will be celebrating the release of the new album on June 12th with a sold out show at The Hideout.

The Metropia Experience Ticket Giveaway

What is The Metropia Experience? It is more than just another music festival of which we have an abundance in Chicago. It is an intimate event that combines music and art and above all social awareness. The community cause that this event will benefit are The Bully Police Squad and WLUW. You can learn more about The Bully Squad below.

The two day event will feature exclusively Chicago music with bands including Shuteye, Santah, Milano, Tiny Fireflies, Cold Blue Kid, and many more. Taking place both indoor and outdoor at 4325 N. Ravenswood the experience begin this Thursday, June 7th at 2pm. You can view the full schedule here.

The Hawthorne Effect

The Hawthorne Effect recently announced that their full-length debut album will be called Awakefulsleep and will be released on July 10th through Red Mist Records. The band is lead by the local music powerhouse John Jauch who wrote all of the track on this album. The album tracked, arranged, mixed, and mastered at Stranded On A Planet recording studio.

Jessica Robbins

Jessica Robbins released her debut album, Dear Fred, back in 2010 and is returning next month with a new ep called Habitat.

Jessica has a wonderful voice and style. She also has knack for for recording great covers in a unusual places. Below she records a cover of Fiona Apple’s "Extraordinary Machine" in a bathroom with a puppy.

Jessica Robbins will be celebrating the release of Habitat on June 21st at Schubas with Brendan Losch.
