The three-piece indie rock trio Fletcher are not just our current Band of the Month, but they are also the headlining band at Beat Kitchen tomorrow night, Nov. 8th. The band just released their debut self-titled EP and have a richer history than you might expect. The trio consists of brothers Oscar and Harvey Baker and Tom Fry. The brothers are originally from London and you hear the British rock influences in their sound. It is a somewhat unique approach for a Chicago-based band.

Joseph and Emily Rose are brother and sister and together they make what they like to call "Animal Emo". The duo is known as Zigtebra, and have released several singles via Bandcamp and Soundcloud through out 2012.

Wild Belle is on the road and have posted a visual postcard for their fans. The band returns home on Dec. 9th for a show at Metro opening for Of Montreal.

Archie Powell & The Exports have released a video for their track "Job Fair". The track appears on their recently release album Great Ideas In Action and as a digital single with the new track "Erik Elects To Veto".

Charlie Deets has released the first single, “Terrible Squad”, from his forthcoming 4 th solo album. The album is due out sometime in 2013 and is being recorded at Black Witch Studios here in Chicago. The album will be released on Deet’s own label Paribus Records.

Nick and The Ovorol’s have announced that their debut studio album will be released on January 22 nd. The album will be called “Telegraph Taboo” and it will feature tracks from the band rockin’ barroom sets. The first single from the album is “Heed The Words I Say” and can be downloaded below. The band have 8 shows scheduled between now and the end of the year, and you can check out their concert schedule here. 

Hidden Hospitals have released their second EP, EP002, and it features the track “The Absence of Emotion”.

There is a new label in town, and Stayposi has mission beyond just producing quality music. The label currently has a stable of four bands, The Captain and The Sea, This Is Our Year, Lights Over Bridgeport, and Milwaukee’s Avenues. Stayposi will be releasing the debut full-length from The Captain and The Sea this Spring.

Radius aka Ramon Norwood (beyond Luck/Lagos/E3) has released a video for his new track "Low End Factory" which comes from his LP Infinite Roots coming in 2013.

Dr. Martins and Filter Magazine have joined forces to create an exciting new web series called "A Band is Born" where they highlight bands on the raise and give a little history lessons. The first band they chose to feature is the local electro-pop trio Gemini Club.

Gemini Club will be performing at Lincoln Hall on Nov. 21st with Kid Color, Bestfriends, and Umami.

Pugs is back in Chicago and released a free ep to celebrate. He had been spending a lot of time in London, but is clearly excited to be home. The ep features contributions from (Comfort Fit, Shayna Love, Elee/Impolite Society, Probcause, DJ Alo and others.
