My Gold Mask released the first single from their forthcoming release Leave Me Midnight today. The track is called "Further It Gets", and the album is slated for an early 2013 released. Gretta Rochelle and Jack Armondo have been worked on the album for most of 2012 and plan to make a big splash and hit the road in 2013 to support their project.

Mutts are releasing a new video for their track "God, Country, Grave" from their recent album Separation Anxiety. The Deli will be the home of the Chicago online premier on December 5th, but you can see the video first at release party and performance at L & L Tavern (3207 North Clark St) on Dec. 4th.

Odd Folk seems to be everywhere over the last two weeks and their low key vintage folk sound seems to be endearing itself to local crowds. The four-piece band, with sounds comparable to heavy-weights like The Avett Brothers or Mumford & Sons, released their debut ep "Die Young" back in August.

The band has played several shows around the city in the last two weeks, but you can catch tonight, Dec. 3rd, @ Space in Evanston with The Last Bison.

Cold Blue Kid released their latest EP, Mimic, back in February, but this week they decided to give it away for free. The six-track ep is filled with solid indie pop and well constructed lyrics.

Last month the five-piece garage rock band Jolly Korea released their second ep, For The Record. They are giving the noisy but melodic ep away for free through their bandcamp page.

The electro-dance trio Krewella is releasing their new remix ep Play Harder on December 10th. This is the follow-up and reimagination of their debut ep Play Hard which was released earlier this year. The new ep also features a new track called "Come & Get it" in addition to seven remixs of their tracks "Alive" and "Killin’ It" from producers based around the world. The Sea & Cake have released a new video for their track "On and On". The track comes from their recent Thrill Jockey release "Runner". The video was animated by the talented Naomi Nagata.

Kevin Drumm has reemerged with a 29 minute choatic collage of noise called Relief. This is a challenging release that pushes hard against the boundaries of music and sound. It feels like Drumm carefully pulled an excerpt of sound from the endless loop of amassed recordings pulsing through his mind and laptop.
