The late ’90’s trio American Football (Mike Kinsella (Cap’n Jazz, Owen, Owls), Steve Lamos, and Steve Holmes) are coming back together for two reunion shows. The first show will be on Sept. 28th at The Pygmalion Fest down in Champaign IL. The second show will be in NYC at Webster Hall on Oct. 11th. Tickets for both shows go on sale this Friday, April 25th.

The reunion will take place after the Polyvinyl reissue of the bands 1999 self-titled album on May 20th. This will be a deluxe relese on 2xLP, 2XCD, cassette, and digitally. The reissue features an album’s worth of rare live recordings, demos, and practice sessions.

It seems like we have been talking about Divino Niño’s album Pool Jealousy for awhile now and earlier this month it was officially on vinyl and digitally by The Native Sound. The album is perfect example of the state of Pysch rock in Chicago.

The band will be celebrating the release on May 9th at Canvas and will also be performing on May 22nd at Double Door with Jessica Hernandez & The Deltas.

The Wild Family recently partnered with Uncommon Ground and The Foxhole to release a unique live video.

The Wild Family also just announced that they will be performing at Schubas on May 14th.

White Mystery released and ambitious and raucous double or "Dubble" album called "Dubble Dragon" over the weekend. This is their fourth studio album but also contain live tracks recorded at Double Door. The album is available digitally and on vinyl.

Tonight, April 18th, Bailiff will celebrate the release of their long-awaited LP "Remise". The album will be officially released on the 22nd. The band has release two singles from the new album, "Shake My Heart Awake" and "Helicopter".

Mister Suit (aka Garrett Jones) had their daytrotter session released earlier this month. The session was recorded back in January and features the band’s new single "Get It Right". The single should be released soon, and the band’s April 23rd show is being billed as a release show for the single.

Fee Lion is the experimental and beautifully minimal work of Justina Kairyte. She recently released a video for her track "Ah Control" which appeared on her 2013 debut EP, "Raw".

Julie Meckler is releasing a new video for her track "Soul Love". The David Bowie rework originally appeared on Julie’s 2013 debut Queenshead. The video was created by Julie Meckler, J.J. Evans and Mechanism9.

Julie is celebrating the release on April 21st at The Charleston (2076 N. Hoyne).

Secret Colours have released a second single from their forthcoming ep Positive Distractions II. The new track is called "Into You", and it has a distinctive pop groove to it.

Positive Distractions II and the full LP, Postive Distractions will be released on April 29th. You can catch Secret Colours at Empty Bottle on April 23rd.

The booking and management company Movers&Shakers is putting on an event at Fulton Street Collective (2000 W. Fulton Ave) tomorrow night, April 11th, featuring a mix of art, music and free Goose Island.

The event will feature music from Sleepy Kitty, Zoo Brother, and Baltimore’s Sun Club with art from local artists Mikey Thomas and Mitchell Reardon. Doors open at 8pm and there is suggested donation of $7.

The aggressive rock band Romantic Rebel are about to release their self-titled debut album via Pavement Entertainment. The album is a thunderous assault filled with stadium anthems and blazing guitar solos including one from Brendon Small of Metalocalypse fame.
