The Locals released a new single late last month called "The Willful Suspension of Disbelief". The indie pop trio further refine their sound with each release and this one sounds as radio ready as anything out there.

The recent EP from Hurt Everybody is a perfect example of the current state of hip hop in Chicago. The trio of Carl, Supa, and Mulatto combine fantastic beats with inventive lyrics to entertain over all 17 tracks of the self-titled EP.

Pink Frost has shared the first single, "Seek and Recover" from their forthcoming EP Traitors. The EP will be released on Sept. 16th and is the follow-up to the band’s 2013 album Sundowning.

Dream Council released a video this week for the track "Scary Nights" which appeared on their 2014 EP ∞ICE∞.

The Papers (Marie Hahn, Matt Script, and Mike Sportiello) released their latest EP, Anyway, last week. The EP is filled with beautiful harmonies between all three members, lovely aucoustic guitars, and tons of rhythmic percussion.

Bestman has released a new anthemic single called "Lights". This is the synth-pop group’s third single single forming back in 2013. The band is fronted by the talented Brian Clouthier and they are promising a video for "Lights" in the near future.

Who Is Fluffy? has released a new single featuring Prob Cause and James Franco called "Best Friends". The track has a funky downtempo electro beat produced by DJ C.

Fluffy will be performing with Hologram Kizzie, Beasthead, Deuce Funk Monsters and more at Jerry’s Sandwiches (1938 W. Division) at 9pm on Thursday, July 17.

The punk rock band Counterpunch is releasing their new album, Brusies, on August 5th via Cyber Tracks. The band recently released the album’s first single "Destroyed By Lions". The band is touring Europe all summer.

Mike Castle has released his new EP "Everything Gold" on his souncloud page. My favorite track was featured in the trailer below and is called "Stop Playing With My Heart". It is a wonderful mixture ’60’s pop and lo-fi garage rock.

The new album from Lightfoils, Hierarchy, was released this week through Saint Marie Records. The five-piece band creates sonically lush wall of dream-pop. The band formed back in 2010 and this is the follow-up to their 2012 debut self-titled EP.
