The local label Lo Motion has released the debut EP, Only One, from young R&B singer Dre Green. The Ep features production work from some of Chicago finest, The GTW, Supreme Cuts, The-Drum, and others. The EP is a laidback and soulful gem and presents a talented songstress on the verge of blowing up.
Arthur Caudy
Arthur Caudy is the production work of John Klein and the guitars of Danny Schaefer. Their self-titled debut album was released last week and it may not be what you expect. When you look at the cover with hand drawn dogs looking at each other you would not expect thumbing bass, interesting electronics, and shredding guitars to come blaring out of your speakers. However it is a thrilling surprise filled with near industrial EDM through to the last second.

Willis Earl Beal “Cisco Blue”
Willis Earl Beal announced this week that he is working on a new EP called The Golden Hour. This comes just days after the release of his new self-released album Experiments in Time. The first track from from The Golden Hour is called "Cisco Blue" and it continues to build Beal’s soulful and experimental songbook.
Beal will also be starring in a film called Memphis which is due out Sept. 25th.
Sleepy Kitty “Don’t You Start”
Paige Brubeck and Evan Sult (aka Sleepy Kitty) has released a video for their track "Don’t You Start". The track comes from their most recent album Projection Room (Euclid Records).

Oozing Wound “Drug Reference”
Oozing Wound has teamed up with Adult Swim to release a new single called "Drug Reference". This is the 10th single that Adult Swim has released as part of their 2014 Singles Program.
Oozing Wound will be releasing their new LP, Earth Suck, via the local label Thrill Jockey on October 21st. You can preorder the album today.
The record release event for the new album will take place on October 27th at Empty Bottle with Rectal Hygienics.
The Atomica Project is Back!
Trip Hop duo The Atomica Project (Wade Alin and Christine Ingandson) have returned with a new full length album, Self Notes. This is the duo four full length release and it features a tremendous cover of The Cure’s "A Night Like This".
