The Kuhls “A Woman Is Like A Man”

Posted on:

The Kuhls have released a video for their track "A Woman is Like a Man". The video plays with gender rolls and stereotypes in an amusing way. The Kuhls are primarily sisters Renee and Grace Kuhl, and this is their first single since 2013’s Holy Rollin’.

You can catch The Kuhls on October 10th opening for Tom Schraeder & His Ego at Schubas.

siike92

Posted on:

Siike92 is the work Stevey Yarusinsky and ten days he unleashed a massive collection of "obsucra". Under the heading the.room.dis.connect, Siike92 released three albums filled with strange, beautiful, haunting, and challenging moments. Each release comes with an artbook and a mesmerizing story. Below is the story for my favorite of the three albums, Lavender Town.

A mother’s scrapbook. Three generations of women in a small, mid-western American town named Lavender. The woe of life, as well as it’s humble joys, are revealed through a series of candid photographs and writings. A somber omen sets the ambiance as you enter your voyeur. Reclining, you ponder "fairy’s hair."

Ship Captain Crew

Posted on:

Ship Captain Crew released their latest EP "House of Mercury" just over a month ago. The pop band give you numerous packages to purchase on their bandcamp site. My favorite would be the "full band show" package for just $200. Below is the video for the EP’s lead track "Notebook".

For a preview of that package you can catch Ship Captain Crew at Debonair Social Club on October 3rd.
