Electronic musician justindemus is preparing to release his a new double EP called “Pre/Post” on August 3rd. The first single from the EP is called “Sunlight” and it is somewhere between Darkwave and Synth Pop. Over the next few weeks leading up to the EP released, Justin will be sharing additional songs and videos for this new project.

Soft Rain Airplane

Soft Rain Airplane released their debut album, Feast of Frenzy, last month. The band was formed two years ago, and have been slowly working on this album since that time. Their sound is a mixture of rock, folk and jazz performed by Jason Gassel, Ryan Callis, Max Kleinberg, Luci Urquiaga, Drew Bunge, and Tony Mest.

Footpaths

Footpaths is the work of Jon Rosenthal and his latest project is called “Old Timer (Lost & Reclaimed)” and will be released on August 24th through Monticulo Records . This is actually Austin Label’s first release and they have already sold out of the 25 cassettes they have produced.

Rosenthal recorded this album ten years ago while learning how to use a pinhole microphone. None of the tracks are titled, and the three that are available now to hear are intriguing sonic explorations of guitar and environment.

Gia Margaret “Smoke”

The second single, “Smoke”, from Gia Margaret’s forthcoming LP, There’s Always A Glimmer, was released today. This is a stunningly beautiful piano ballad that perfectly showcases softness and grace in Margaret’s voices. This track almost reaches the ethereal sound of a Juliana Barwick, and shows exactly why this album need’s to be owned when it released on July 27th.

Arken Nino “Snakes & Ladders”

Arken Nino is back with his sophomore album, Snakes & Ladders, which is due out on July 20th via Seven Oddities. This is the follow-up to his 2012 debut Amphibious, and it features contributions from Clever One, Slarebody, Heidi Everfresh, and many more. The album’s first single is called “Coming Up" and can be stream below.

Campdogzz “Run Wild” Video

Campdogzz have released a video for the latest single, “Run Wild”, from their forthcoming album, In Rounds. The video is a travel log, of sorts, and was filmed by Jess Price in Tulsa, OK.

Michael Beharie & Teddy Rankin-Parker “Paper Tiger”

New York’s Michael Beharie and Chicago’s Teddy Rankin-Parker have joined forces to release their debut album, A Heart From your Shadow, via Warsaw label Mondoj. The duo met over a decade ago at Oberlin College and have carved their own unique musical careers, but always wanted to collaborate at some point. What they have created is an adventure in experimental, ambient, and inventive music and sound.

The album latest single is “Paper Tiger” and is accompanied by an animated video by Eduardo Enrique Meza.
