James Swanberg of The Lemons kicked off the month by releasing a new single called “Harder On Me” via his label Tripp Tapes. This is his second single of 2019 following up, “It’s No Wonder”, from back in May.
American Draft @ Chop Shop (11/22)
Instrumental rock quartet American Draft recently released their first album in ten year, The Rescue. The five track album is well worth the wait and closes with the epic and soaring nearly 18 minute title track.

Sy Somebody “Take The Money”
Sy Somebody has released his debut single, “Take The Money”. This is the Psych Pop of Casey Meehan, the founder of Chicago Mixtape, and the first taste of an album being planned for February 2020.
Den “Entire Mire”
Noise Rock trio Den has released the first single, “Entire Mire”, from their forthcoming album, Iron Desert, which is set to be released on November 22nd via Corpse Flower.
This is the work of Ian Piirtola, Ray Keenan, and Adam Harris.

Emmaline “Effortless” Video
Last week we shared the new EP, “All My Sweetest Dreams”, from Jazz Pop vocalist Emmaline, and this week she has released a video for the EP’s lead single “Effortless”.

Crusadist ‘The Unholy Grail’
Thrash Metal band Crusadist dropped a wild lyric video for the title track from their forthcoming album The Unholy Grail.
This is the work of Shaun Albro (Vocalist/Lyricist), Aaron Nobles (Guitarist), Luke Sever (Guitarist), Kevin Ariel (Bass), and Jason Rak (Drums).

The Damn Tracks “Second City Is Burning”
Pop Punk Trio The Damn Tracks released a monster 22 track album called Second City Is Burning on Halloween. This album follows their 2018 album, The Damn Tracks II, and is their fifth overall.
The Damn Tracks are Steve Minogue (Guitar/Vocals), Christopher Dean Hayes (Bass/ Vocals), and Anthony Krecioch (Drums).

DRAMA “Gimme Gimme”
DRAMA has released a new single, “Gimme Gimme”, from their forthcoming Ghostly International debut, Dance Without Me, which is set for release on February 14th.
This the R&B, Dance Pop of Na’el Shehade and Via Rose, and this the second single from their album following up “Hold On”.

Pivot Gang “Hero” Video
Pivot Gang dropped visuals for the song “Hero” on Halloween. The track is taken from their recently released debut album, You Can’t Sit WIth Us. The track feature Saba, Frsh Waters, and MfnMelo and takes the tracks title literally turning the trio into modern day superhero’s.

Single Premiere: Cox’s Army “New Richmond Town”
We are proud to be able to premiere the latest single, “New Richmond Town”, from the Bluegrass Band Cox’s Army. This is the title track from their forthcoming album which is set to be released on November 8th.
The band was formed back in 2016 and consists of ‘Cousin’ Chuck Cox (Guitar, Lead Vocal) and features Laird Patten (Banjo), Jeff Burke (Mandolin, Baritone Vocal), and Jack Campbell (Bass, Tenor Vocal).
You can help Cox’s Army celebrate the release of their album on November 8th at the Hideout with The Lawrence Peters Outfit and The Family Gold.
Lala Lala “Spy”
Lala Lala has a new track called “Spy” on the forthcoming Immigrant Rights Benefit compliation from Ruination Records, So Many Singing Vol . 2. They joined on the compilation by 49 other artists including fellow Chicagoans Bill Mackay, V.V. Lightbody, Half Gringa, and Minor Moon.
The album is set to be released on December 6th and the label is currently planning a release event in Chicago on December 13th with details to follow, but with proceeds going to Illinois Coalition for Immigrant and Refugee Rights.
Lala Lala (aka Lillie West) will be performing at Sleeping Village on January 16th with Nnamdi and Sen Morimoto.
Fran “In My Own time”
Fran has released a third single, “In My Own Time”, from their formthcoming album, A Private Picture, which is set to be released on November 15th via Fire Talk.
Fran is kicking off a tour this week that will finding them coming home on November 23rd for a show at the Hideout with Tobacco City and Mia Joy.
