WIG “Swell”

WIG released their second EP, “Swell”, on the first day of 2020. The tape will be release by Let’s Pretend, but the EP is currently available digitally.

WID is the the DIY trio of Chris Gottlieb (guitar/vocals), Lucas Sikorski (bass guitar), and Clayton Demuth (drums).

Dead Lucid “Head”

Dead Lucid has released the first single, “Head”, from their forthcoming EP “Desolation” which is due out on January 20th.

This is the work of Jon Grammer (Guitar/Vocals), Andrew Tschiltsch (Drums), and Ryan Rhoades (Bass).

Hali Palombo “MABLE”

Hali Palombo has released visuals for the first single, “MABLE”, from her forthcoming album Cherry Ripe. The is album is set to be released on March 21st and is the follow-up to her 2018 self-titled debut.

Sonically, Cherry Ripe is composed from almost entirely of shortwave radio recordings. This gives the album a sense of nostalgia while also being filled moments of humor and sadness.

Blaqrock

Late last month Blaqrock released a remastered edition of their debut EP “No Love for Blaqkid”. The release was accompanied by a new video for one of the EP’s singles, “Kicks”.

Blaqrock is the work of Gardner Mcfadden III (Vocals), Myles Bacon (Guitar), Austen Goebel (Bass), and Danny Delgado (Drums).

Producer/Emcee Leland Philpot is back with a new single called “Jesus Take It All (IWannaSee)”. The track pulls no punches in stating Philpot’s faith and accompany video demonstrates his love for our city.

Philpot has a lot planned for 2020 and if this beat is any indication it is going to be great. He recently told us that "THIS is the time to go hard as you can for your destiny, alright?”, and it is clear that this is exactly what he is doing.

Avanova kicked off 2020 by releasing a new album called “Gemini”. This is the second album from Guthrie Weinschenk, and follow’s his 2016 debut album, “Apollo”. The sounds on the album blend jazz, electronic music, and elements of Hip Hop.

Post Animal “Fitness”

Post Animal have kicked off 2020 by sharing the third single, “Fitness”, from their forthcoming sophomore album, Forward Motion Godyssey. The album, the band’s first since 2018’s debut When I Think Of You In A Castle, is set to be released via Polyvinyl on February 14th.

This is Psych Pop of Dalton Allison, Jake Hirshland, Javi Reyes, Wesley Toledo, and Matt Williams.

The Band Royale

The Band Royale has released their latest album, their first since 2017’s Delusions of Grandeur EP.

This is the anthemic rock of brothers Joel Bauman (Guitars, Vocals), Nate Bauman (Drums), and Zach Bauman (Rhythm Guitars, Keys).

The group released two singles from this album in 2019, “Loose Lips Sink Ships” and “Surf Kings”.
