Weekend Warrior, October 16 – 18

More than halfway done with their world tour, The Brooklyn Brewery Mash will be stopping in Philadelphia for a week starting this Saturday. “The Mash” brings together music, visual arts, movie screenings, comedy, supper clubs and even debates into a raucous week of parties influenced and aggrandized by local city culture and of course, a whole lot of beer. The first night in the City of Brotherly Love, hosted at the TLA, will showcase local indie-rock stalwarts Man Man. Lead by enigmatic frontman Honus Honus, a.k.a. Ryan Kattner, Man Man are Philly’s very own funky, carnival-esque experimental rock jesters, who are ready to test our varying dance/mosh skills and levels of inebriation, with Brooklyn psych-pop duo Prince Rama opening things up to get the juices flowing. This freebie will be extremely fun, slightly bizarre and completely memorable. TLA, 334 South St., 7pm, FREE (RSVP HERE), All Ages – Blake Oetting
