Surrounded by friends, family and fans, Whoa Dakota celebrated the release of her second EP "I’m a Liar" at The Basement Thursday night.
Local acts Rising Sea and Quinn warmed up the full house with some groovy, energetic indie rock, leaving us buzzing as the headliner’s patent leather heels took to the stage. On a cloud of contagious rhythms, jazzy bass lines, pop-esque keys and gritty guitar, Whoa Dakota gave a soulful, engaging performance worthy of a standing ovation and a CD purchase.
