Alex Vans and the Hide Away this Friday (6/7) at Tropicalia

Stop worrying about what you’re going to do this Friday. Whether you’re looking to rock out, entertain guests from out of town, or show your partner/first date a good time, I have it all figured out for you. You’re gonna chase the night with local favorite Alex Vans and the Hide Away at Tropicalia. If you’re a fan of bright, melodic American power-pop, full of sound and energetic emotion (think Wilco, the Replacements, the Posies) then you will be sad to miss this. If you don’t know what I’m talking about, you’ll be happy to find out. Alex Vans will be opening for up for emerging national favorite Low Cut Connie (Jack White thinks they’re dreamy) who have a rootsy rockabilly vibe (and piano!). This is a lineup that pretty much everyone will enjoy. It‘s an earlier show for a Friday night (doors at 7, show at 8), so you can grab dinner, watch the show, and have plenty of time after to continue dancing/rocking/eating/enjoying everything else U St. has to offer. You can thank me after your party/date compliments you on organizing such a perfect night out.
