Kurt Vile Contributes to Japan Benefit Compilation

Kurt Vile has contributed the track “Been Searchin” to Recorded for Japan, a compilation to raise funds for Japan relief. 100% of the proceeds from the sale of this album will go directly towards the continuing recovery and reconstruction effort, specifically the Japanese Red Cross. The digital-only compilation will be available on August 4. It also features tracks from R. Stevie Moore (feat. members of MGMT), Ariel Pink, Chairlift, Violens, and many others. Most of the songs were recorded and mastered at Brooklyn’s Vacation Island Recording studio between April and June 2011.
