Long time friends and collaborators Tawny Newsome & Bethany Thomas have been singing together for 15 years and releasing the first album, Material Flats, on Newsome’s new imprint Fine Alpinist Records on October 9th. The duo recently shared the album’s opening rocker "White Balloon" along with the video below.
On this project the enlisted the help of local musician Nate Urbansky on (drums), Patrick Martin (guitar, bass, vocals) and Packy Lundholm (keys, effects, banjo, and more). They also tapped Ted Leo to add vocals on the album’s closing track "Carry Something".
