Eli winter has released the first single, "For a Chisos Bluebonnet", from his forthcoming self-titled album which is due out on August 19th via Three Lobed.

For this album the guitarist / composer is joined by Yasmin Williams, Ryley Walker, David Grubbs, Cameron Knowler, Tyler Damon, jaimie branch, and more.

Kevin and Hell has released their latest album, Memento Mori. This is the highly unique and compelling intersection of experimental jazz and post punk.

This is primarily the work and project of Kevin, but he is joined by Nadav Simon on drums for this album. Jazz great Angel Bat Dawid also contributes a clarinet cameo on "The Death Cap."

Sports Boyfriend (aka Eileen Peltier) recently released her second single on 2022 a poppy, nearly country sounding, track called "New American Cuisine".

Post Hardcore group Nikko Blue recently released their latest single, "Harder To Breather".

Math Rock group Snooze has released a new single called "Contingent". This is the group’s second single since the release of their 2020 album Still.

8-bit crEEps have released the second single, "Madness", from their forthcoming album, Dress For The Future.

Dendrons have released the second single, "Wait in Line", from their forthcoming album, 5​-​3​-​8, which is due out on August 26th via Innovative Leisure.

Phil Yates & The Affiliates are preparing to release their fourth studio album, A Thin Thread, via Futureman Records on July 15th. You can currently stream the album’s first two singles, "Green Eyes" and "Smithereens", below.

This album is marks the first from Phil and crew with the newly formed Chicago line-up which includes Richard Bandini (electric guitars, background vocals, percussion), Jay Lyon (bass, keyboards, electric guitars, background vocals), and Bill Urban (drums, percussion).

DIY Punk trio Meat Wave are back with the second single, "Ridiculous Car", from their forthcoming album which is due out this Fall via Swami Records.

The new single and accompanying lyric video are a proper salute to, as the band puts it, "bros who zoom down the expressway weaving through traffic like they’re playing ‘Grand Theft Auto’".

Meat Wave will be performing as part of Logan Square Arts Festival which takes place June 24th through 26th.

Back in early Spring, Retirement Party announced that they were ending the fantastic six year journey they had been on as a band, but promised a finally EP was in the works.

This week the group released their final, and self-titled, EP via Counter Intuitive Records.

This is the work of Avery Springer (vocals and guitar), James Ringness (drums), and Eddy Rodriguez (bass).

Garage Rock group The Neighborhood Threat have released a new single called "Razorblade". This is the first new music from the group since their 2021 live EP, "Live at E.S.S.".

This is the work of Kevin Murphy (Vocal), Derek Schlax (Rhythm Guitar), Quinn Pokora (Lead Guitar), Alec Montoya (Bass Guitar), and Dave Catanese (Drums).
