Xaphoon Jones Will No Longer Be Performing Live w/Chiddy Bang

There have been rumors hovering around the Chiddy Bang camp about the future of the group. The duo recently issued a statement to clarify these “rumblings.” Xaphoon Jones, a.k.a. Noah Beresin, will no longer be performing live on stage or in front of the cameras with Chiddy, a.k.a. Chidera Anamege. Instead, Beresin has decided to take a step back from the limelight and concentrate on “being a producer.” Below is what they had to say about the situation.

What up everyone?

There have been some rumblings the past few months so both of us wanted to take the time to set the record straight.

Our good friend Noah B, affectionately known as ‘Xaphoon Jones’ to many, has decided to step back from the artist role to focus on what he really loves – being a producer. After last year’s album release and subsequent tours supporting Wiz Khalifa and Fun, Noah realized his heart was in the studio – where he belonged – and not on stage and in front of cameras, etc. Honestly, this shit is a grind, and as his friend, I respect where his is coming from.

Don’t get it twisted – we are definitely still homies – and Noah will still be making beats for Chiddy Bang (in the same way it’s happened since 2009), but the main difference will be him not coming on tour. You can definitely still expect him to play a musical role in upcoming material as we embark on a new journey to bring dope music to all corners of the globe. We’re both excited for what the future holds and can’t wait for you to hear what we have in store.

Much love
Chiddy & Xaph
