Brooklyn’s Wild Leaves are Midwesterners far from home, which is the conclusion you get to after listening to anyone of their songs. A refreshing mix of traditional and electric tones, their bittersweet electric-folk sound (or "Hazy-Americana," as they call it) is a perfect mix of Real Estate’s chilled laid back atmospheres and Fleet Foxes’ reverb washed vocals. The band’s latest album “Wind and Rain” is loaded with dreamy folk songs, fitting wandering through both the forest and the urban jungle. Don’t miss their upcoming show this Sunday 6/9 at Cameo Art Gallery at 8pm opening for Cincinnati’s Fathers. – Paul Jordan Talbot
