Post-punk with a dash of 90‘s noise-rock, anyone? With simple, playfully dark lyrics sung in a forceful monotone calling back to bands like Karp, and metallic bass lines reminiscent of The Jesus Lizard or Shellac, We’ll Go Machete mingles their influences tastefully with their own sound. Noisy guitars ride over Rachel Fuhrer’s thick, cymbal-heavy drumming to create a lingering treble tone that hangs in the air like a thin layer of grey smoke. Their upcoming LP, "Six Plus Ten," will be released April 30th by Stressed Sumo Records. – Brandt Kempin
