Ever since “Hurricane” Irene blew in and ruined their previously scheduled album release party for their self-titled EP on Ripe Records, This Radiant Boy/Barking Spiders alum Faux Slang have been looking for the opportune moment to reschedule their rager. Things were looking grim when Kung Fu Necktie fell into its recent state of uncertainty for shows, but happily the show is on in 21+ BYOB fashion this Saturday night. The band will be joined by former Barking Spiders bandmate Mike Guggino’s new project Mount Olympus (which also features Somebody Dies! alum Dickie Spectacular), who are hot of the trails of their debut album You’re Welcome. They’ll also be joined by Heavy Sons, the latest project from ex-Pony Pants (Deli faves) members Ryan Ellis and Emily Kovach.
