Them Vibes recently dropped their new single "Mamma’s Gotta Secret," in anticipation of the September 8th release date of their EP. The single is just as soaked in swampy 70’s nostalgia as their previous work, and almost evoke a little Kings of Leon in the hook. Richard Dodd has come on board as producer for this album, to lend the same expertise he has contributed to previous clients that include, but are not limited to, Tom Petty, George Harrison, The Civil Wars, Kings of Leon (ah-HA!), Counting Crows and Wilco. We’re sure he had a the same field day channeling their down’n’dirty cheekiness that we’ve had every time we’ve caught their show, one of which is THIS Saturday, August 8th, when they headline Tomato Arts Fest. With absolutely no cover to get over to the Xfinity Main Stage at 8pm, there’s little reason not to get out and enjoy some of our favorite Nashville carousers. In the meantime, take a listen to “Mamma’s Gotta Secret.” –Terra James-Jura
