The Spirit of the Beehive Opening for The Hotelier at FUC Nov. 5

Philly’s own The Spirit of the Beehive effortlessly go from comforting, shadowy shoegaze to aggressive, grimy grunge, making them one of our favorite up-and-coming bands lately. This uncanny ability has also recently caught the attention of Jade Tree Records. The well-respected Delaware indie label has signed our young upstarts, and will be releasing their next full-length album in 2016, which we are very excited to hear. The local quintet is on a stacked R5 bill this evening at the First Unitarian Church where they’ll be opening for buzzing Massachusetts punks The Hotelier, Cleveland emo rockers Runaway Brother, and Long Beach, NY pop punks Oso Oso, whom they are currently on tour with. Come out & get sweaty in the Church’s basement tonight! First Unitarian Church, 2125 Chestnut St., 7:30pm, $12, All Ages – Alexis V.
